I’ve always been a fan of quick, effortless getaways to restore balance after a hectic week, or, just to have some time away from the hustle and bustle. Recently, I had the opportunity to steal away to the cutest, most peaceful inn nestled at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s called Brasstown Valley and it was definitely the most peaceful three days I’ve had in a while.
Located just a couple of hours north of down town Atlanta, Georgia, this resort is a sight to see. On the drive up, there were breath taking views of the mountains on either side, including miles and miles of farm land speckled with cattle, sheep or horses.
The resort consists of groups of cottages, single-standing cabins and a large inn, where the majority of guests stay. The inn resembles a massive log cabin, with high ceilings and natural wood furnishings overlooking a patio space that drops into the mountains. There is a huge fireplace that anchors the lobby of the resort which burns 24/7! The lobby is beautifully decorated with plenty of soft seating, table games, bowls of fresh fruit and a very convenient bar.
The rooms are as lovely as the lobby, complete with a gas burning fireplace and views of the mountains. Complete with a mini bar area and a lavish bath space, you will get your most peaceful sleep here indeed.
There are also tons of activities to take part in, such as horseback riding, white water rafting, fishing, cave exploration and many more. This is a place where you can come to have a fun filled weekend, or have a peaceful getaway dining on delicious food, sipping a cocktail around an open fire pit overlooking the mountains. I will definitely be revisiting this spot again!
Is it close to Brasstown Bald. Being from Atl, the Blueridge was a favorite get away.
